The dedicated substation for solar PV and wind power is a prefabricated substation custom-designed for new-energy generation scenarios such as solar photovoltaic and wind power. Its core function is to step up the 0.69kV low-voltage AC generated by PV modules or wind turbines to 10–35kV for feed-in to the public grid. It integrates a step-up transformer, high- and low-voltage switchgear, a low-voltage combiner unit, a measurement-control and protection system, reactive-power compensation, and a communication module in a single package, with dedicated optimizations for the characteristics of new-energy generation—large output fluctuations, frequent start-stop cycles, unattended operation, and harsh environments.

With mainstream voltage ratings of 10–35kV and capacities from 500kVA to 6300kVA, it is widely used in utility-scale solar plants, distributed PV, onshore wind, offshore wind, and integrated wind-solar-storage projects.

Product Description

The dedicated new-energy substation is a modular European-style substation for new-energy generation. Used primarily in generation and transmission-distribution systems, it is a technologically advanced European-style substation for wind and solar power that steps up low-voltage AC to 10–35kV high-voltage AC and feeds it into the system grid or a user grid, thereby meeting the needs of wind and solar generation and transmission.

(1) The structural layout comes in two arrangements—in-line or delta—and is divided into three parts: the high-voltage compartment, the low-voltage compartment, and the transformer body.

(2) The high-voltage compartment uses double-layer doors, with the inner door fitted with an observation window and an electrical-interlock "five-prevention" device.

(3) The low-voltage compartment uses AC low-voltage switchgear.

(4) The transformer body places the transformer core, high-voltage load-break switch, protective fuses, and other equipment in a single oil-filled steel tank for a small footprint; the transformer radiators are mounted on the outside of the tank for good heat dissipation while ensuring normal use, inspection, and maintenance.

(5) The product housing is assembled from cold-rolled steel plate after powder coating, and the base is welded from channel steel and finished with electrophoretic painting, giving it strong corrosion resistance and ample mechanical strength.

(6) The substation has a compact structure, small size, and minimal footprint, making it easy to transport and install.

(7) The enclosure offers excellent rain protection, radiation protection, condensation prevention, and ventilation.

This assembly complies with GB/T17467-2020 High-Voltage/Low-Voltage Prefabricated Substations and IEC 62271-202:2022 High-Voltage/Low-Voltage Prefabricated Substations.
