The European-style pad-mounted substation (high-voltage/low-voltage prefabricated substation) organically combines a high-voltage incoming unit, a transformer step-down unit, a low-voltage distribution unit, and the corresponding protection, metering, compensation, and measurement-control devices, prefabricated within a single fully enclosed metal enclosure that is moisture-proof, rust-proof, dust-proof, rodent-proof, fireproof, theft-proof, and heat-insulated, and that can be transported and installed as a complete unit.

It receives grid power through the high-voltage switchgear, steps it down via the transformer, and distributes it to end users through the low-voltage switchgear, thereby achieving the reception, conversion, and distribution of electrical power.

Product Description

Built on Schneider technology with modular manufacturing, it offers strong assembly integration, a compact structure, safe and reliable operation, an attractive design, fast installation, easy construction, ease of operation, and high reliability.

This product consists of high-voltage switchgear, a transformer, and low-voltage switchgear, divided into three relatively independent compartments—a high-voltage compartment, a transformer compartment, and a low-voltage compartment. It is equipped with an automatic temperature-control device, while its ventilation design uses high-efficiency automatic fans, and an insulation layer at the top prevents the condensation that can arise in high-temperature or extremely cold regions from rapid temperature changes inside the enclosure. A rich range of exterior materials and colors is available, giving users a wide choice. Two internal layouts are available: in-line ("目"-shaped) and delta ("品"-shaped).

This assembly complies with GB/T 17467-2020 High-Voltage/Low-Voltage Prefabricated Substations and IEC 62271-202:2022 High-Voltage/Low-Voltage Prefabricated Substations.

  • Which Transformer Should Be Used in a Solar Power Plant?

    2026-06-04

This article focuses on transformer selection for solar power plants. Building on a previous general comparison of oil-immersed and dry-type transformers, it examines the specific requirements of photovoltaic applications. The article outlines product solutions for different scenarios—large ground-mounted plants, commercial rooftops, and building-integrated photovoltaics—covering oil-immersed transformers, dry-type transformers, specialized box-type transformers for renewable energy, box-type substations, and high/low voltage switchgear. It then analyzes key technical factors unique to solar projects, including harmonic mitigation, voltage fluctuation and bidirectional power flow, insulation coordination, outdoor environmental endurance, and total cost of ownership over a 20-plus-year operating cycle. Drawing on Dada Electric's manufacturing experience, this guide offers project developers and engineers a practical, application-focused selection reference. Read More
